68 Universitas Sumatera Utara Lecturers Pass the 2026 Lecturer Certification Program
Medan – Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), through the Directorate of Human Resources, extends its appreciation and congratulations to 68 USU lecturers who successfully passed the 2026 Lecturer Certification Program (Serdos).
This achievement marks an important milestone in enhancing lecturers’ professionalism and strengthening the quality of higher education at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The Lecturer Certification Program (Serdos) is a process of awarding Educator Certificates to lecturers through a mechanism for assessing lecturers’ competence and professionalism. The Serdos program aims to assess lecturers’ eligibility to perform their professional duties, improve the quality of learning processes and outcomes, and strengthen the role of lecturers as learning agents in higher education.
The 2026 Serdos program was implemented based on Decree of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology No. 135/M/KEP/2026 on Technical Guidelines for Lecturer Certification. The 2026 Serdos implementation consisted of Wave 0 and Wave I, involving several stages, including fulfillment of requirements, portfolio preparation, the Lecturer’s Self-Statement on the Performance of the Tridharma of Higher Education (PDD-UKTPT), perception assessment, and assessment by assessors.
The Directorate of Human Resources of USU stated that this achievement was the result of the lecturers’ commitment and hard work in fulfilling various certification requirements, including enhancing academic competencies, implementing the tridharma of higher education, and strengthening their professional track records as educators.
The success of 68 USU lecturers in obtaining Educator Certificates is expected to motivate them to continuously improve the quality of learning, strengthen the academic culture, foster innovation, and make meaningful contributions to the development of knowledge and society.
