The Directorate of Human Resources is a work unit of Universitas Sumatera Utara responsible for the management and development of the University’s human resources, including both academic and non-academic staff. Its responsibilities cover employee recruitment and placement, personnel administration, competency and career development, performance management, employee welfare, recognition and discipline, as well as employee separation and retirement.

In supporting the achievement of the University’s vision and strategic objectives, the Directorate of Human Resources is committed to promoting human resource management that is professional, transparent, accountable, adaptive, and digitally driven, while strengthening collaboration with faculties, schools, directorates, institutes, and other work units across Universitas Sumatera Utara.
